Disassembly method

(1) Rotate the engine crankshaft so that the crankshaft is at TDC of cylinder 1. If the engine is installed on the vehicle, align the marks shown by the arrows in Fig. 1-4-6; If the engine has been removed, align the mark on the pulley with the mark on the lower shield of the drive belt (as shown by the arrow in Fig. 1-4-7).

(2) Remove the crankshaft pulley.
(3) Remove the lower and middle guards of the toothed drive belt.
(4) Mark the direction of rotation of the toothed drive belt.
(5) Insert the Allen wrench into the holder of the tensioner and press the tensioner until the locking tool can be inserted as shown in Fig. 1-4-8 to lock the tensioner into the groove.

(6) Unscrew the fixing nut of the tensioner from the tensioner.
(7) Screw out the fixing bolt 1 of the tensioner and remove the tensioner, as shown in Fig. 1-4-9.

(8) Remove the toothed drive belt.
(9) Turn the crankshaft slightly counterclockwise.

Installation method

(1) Turn the camshaft slightly to align the mark on the camshaft timing gear with the mark on the cylinder head cover (as shown by the arrow in Fig. 1-4-10).

(2) Rotate the crankshaft slightly to make it at the top dead center of cylinder 1, as shown in Fig. 1-4-6 and Fig. 1-4-7.

(3) Carefully turn the tensioner eccentric clockwise with a rotary tool, as shown in Fig. 1-4-11.

(4) Install the toothed drive belt onto the crankshaft gear (pay attention to the direction of rotation).
(5) Install the toothed drive belt onto the coolant pump, tensioner and camshaft timing gear.
(6) Install tensioner for toothed drive belt.
(7) Turn the tensioner eccentric counterclockwise with the rotary tool until the locking tool can be easily removed.
(8) Loosen the tensioning device clockwise under the action of its reaction force. At this time, the bulge of the eccentric piece moves towards the stop until the size a (4mm ± 1mm) is reached.
(9) Keep the tensioning wheel at this position and tighten it with a torque of 25N ● m.
(10) Install the middle and lower guards of the toothed drive belt.
